Meet your Therapist

Kia ora, I’m Jess

I chose to re-train as a Massage Therapist after spending nearly 20 years working in Radiology; first as a Radiographer and then as an MRI Technologist.

I’ve always enjoyed being active; I’m a long-time yoga practitioner and have dabbled in endurance sports over the years.

I’m passionate about equitable access to healthcare, and community health and wellbeing. If cost is a barrier – consider visiting me at The Victory Community Centre on Wednesday mornings. Contact VCC directly for koha clinic bookings.

I look forward to meeting you soon!

What's in a name?

Nobody knows your pain better than you do.  To be able to help you meet your goals and give you the most effective treatment possible, I need to hear your story, ask questions, and assess your function.

Being informed and making sense of what’s going on with your body, can empower you to take control of your health and wellbeing.

I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with my clients.  I want to help you recognize your own health and wellbeing needs, and the treatment or management options that may be available to you.

If you are motivated to recover from an injury, get on top of chronic pain or simply stay in good form, then you should give massage a go.

"Jess is clearly an expert in massage and knows how to explain everything easily so I could understand my body better. It's a powerful combo! Knowing Jess has competed in endurance sports gives her the kudos to help anyone from top athletes to regular people who just want to feel better".

"Jess's knowledge of anatomy and physiology is amazing. She has a way of seeking out the troublespots and releasing them. My weekly massages with Jess played a huge part in my recovery from a recent back injury. Her continued regular massages help keep my injured ageing body active. Jess's easy-going positive manner gives me yet another reason to highly recommend her".
